Glory Glory Man United

Manchester United is another step closer to being the Champion of the English Premiere League after beating Everton 2-4 away from home at Goodison Park. They are now the league leader with 5 point lead ahead of Chelsea. Chelsea only managed a draw 2-2 with Bolton. Manchester United has 3 more games against Man City, Chelsea & West Ham. My wish is for Manchester United to be crowned Champion away at Stamford Bridge.

 Glory Glory Man United !!!

Good Friday

Good Friday this year was indeed an unforgettable day for me and my family. Oh well….put it this way, something unpleasant happened on such a Holy Day!

Anyway, on another note, I came across some pictures on a processsion in Philippines that I felt pretty disturbed. Disturbed not because of the blood that I see….but rather because these people are missing the point of Good Friday.

Take a look at the pictures here

Singapore Zoo

Zebra

Visited the Singapore Zoo over the weekend. Basic Entrance Fee is S$15 per adult and children between 3 to 12 years old is S$7.50 and children under 3 is FOC. The have other attractive packages too. Do check out the website if you plan to visit the zoo at www.zoo.com.sg

Oh yes…if visiting the Zoo doesn’t excite you…do check out the Night Safari, I’m sure you will enjoy it. Over at the Night Safari, you will come really close to the nocturnal animals. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by even by Singaporean like me.

Some Background of the Singapore Night Safari

The world’s first wildlife park built for visits at night, the Night Safari is not like any ordinary zoo illuminated by the night or a modern version of nocturnal houses found in many zoos around the globe.

Nestled in 40 hectares of lush secondary forest, the Night Safari offers guests the unique experience of exploring wildlife in a tropical jungle at night. Through the use of subtle lighting technique, guests are able to view over 1,000 nocturnal animals of 100 species in vast naturalistic habitats.

The birth of the Night Safari is a result of a combination of factors. The overwhelming response to night tours conducted at the Zoo in the late 1980s indicated a demand for wholesome night entertainment. Displaying tropical animals at night seemed ideal since 90% of them are nocturnal and, therefore, most active after dusk. Moreover, Singapore is blessed with sunset taking place punctually at 7.30pm, dependably cool nights and little rainfall. These operational advantages make outdoor night attraction perfect.

The LUGE

 img_1213.jpg

I’ve finally tested out the latest ride in town called THE LUGE. Originally created in New Zealand, luge is a fun-filled gravity ride on a three-wheel cart using a unique braking and steering system that gives the rider full control. The non motorized cart operates on the principle of gravity and provides a fun ride on a downward gradient. Riders are totally in control of how laid-back or thrilling they want their ride to be. Go fast, go slow, stop, you decide.
