Update to the Easter Egg Post

I was talking to a colleague who is a Christian brother and we started talking about what we did on Easter Sunday and I also took the opportunity to ask him if he know any significance of the easter egg. He was saying that egg symbolizes a new life and therefore it is significant during easter.

This is what I found in wikipedia:

The egg is seen as symbolic of the grave and life renewed or resurrected by breaking out of it. The red supposedly symbolizes the blood of Christ redeeming the world and human redemption through the blood shed in the sacrifice of the crucifixion. The egg itself is a symbol of resurrection: while being dormant it contains a new life sealed within it.

Christmas is not about Santa & Easter is not about eggs

collageEaster Sunday falls on 12th April…3 days after Good Friday. Jesus rose from the dead on the third after he was crucified. God send his son, his only son, Jesus to earth to die on the cross so that our sins can be forgive.

Don’t be mistaken, Easter has nothing to do with eggs :))

Wishing you and your family a Blessed Easter!
