I was talking to a colleague who is a Christian brother and we started talking about what we did on Easter Sunday and I also took the opportunity to ask him if he know any significance of the easter egg. He was saying that egg symbolizes a new life and therefore it is significant during easter.

This is what I found in wikipedia:

The egg is seen as symbolic of the grave and life renewed or resurrected by breaking out of it. The red supposedly symbolizes the blood of Christ redeeming the world and human redemption through the blood shed in the sacrifice of the crucifixion. The egg itself is a symbol of resurrection: while being dormant it contains a new life sealed within it.

Easter Sunday falls on 12th April…3 days after Good Friday. Jesus rose from the dead on the third after he was crucified. God send his son, his only son, Jesus to earth to die on the cross so that our sins can be forgive.

Don’t be mistaken, Easter has nothing to do with eggs :))

Got an SMS (Short Message Service) on my mobile yesterday from a friend of mine telling me that someone we know passed on due to Cancer. Whenever I hear of such news , it really drives me again to the point where I ask myself…What is the purpose on my life here on earth ? Do you?

And everything this happens, someone will tell me, LIFE IS SHORT! To me,  Life is not measured by the length of time but by what you do with the time you are give. I am not sure if you agree…but at least this is how i sees it.

So wake up today and smell the roses! start to appreciate and love the people around you (doesn’t matter if they are lovable to you now). Someday when you realised that they are….they will probably be not around you anymore.

I am thankful for all the people around me. Be it nice or nasty people…they shape my life in some ways or others. I also remembered a friend telling me…I don’t want to live a boring life! Good or Bad Life…it is still better then living a boring life! Then i begin to understand that it is the experience we go through that shape us….not our ideals!

Watch it before it slips away

Yes you are right….my topic today is on watches!!! LOL

What were you expecting? Recently I was talking to some of friends and we were like chatting about everything and anything under the sun….yes you are right again,  we were bored!!!

Anyway, out of this casual conversation, I found out that you can get really get some good bargains for watches at THE BENCOOLEN ( a building opposite Sim Lim Square). So i decided to pay a visit today as I was looking for a digital watch for my run. There are several shops on the ground floor that sell watches but somehow i landed in this shop called WINS UNITED WATCH PTE LTD, Unit #01-37.

The carry brands like Casio, Citizen, Timex, Addidas,  Polar and many more. I did my homework before coming down. I saw the Casio G-Shock Mudking was selling for S$137 at Suntec City and this shop is only selling it for S$99. A whopping $38 of savings! Well…i’ll leave you to explore the rest of the shops there. Enjoy!
