12 cases on H1N1 flu imported into Singapore.

There are 12 cases of H1N1 flu imported into Singapore as of 4th June
2009. All of these cases are either visitors from aboard or Singaporean returning from United States. Although till date, there is no fatality as
yet but the risk on contracting on board the flight is still pretty high.

Companies here are urging their staff not to travel unnecessarily.

At the Cross…

Oh Lord You’ve searched me
You know my ways
Even when I fail You
I know You love me

Your holy presence
Surrounding me
In every season
I know You love me
I know You love me

At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now?

You go before me
You shield my way
Your hand upholds me
I know You love me

At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now (x2)

You tore the veil
You made a way
When You said that it is done (x2)

And when the earth fades
Falls from my eyes
And You stand before me
I know You love me
Oh.. I know You love me

At the cross I bow my knee
Where your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now? (x2)

You tore the veil
You made a way
When You said that it is done (x4)

i offer my life…

(Verse 1)
All that I am, all that I have
I lay them down before you, oh Lord
All my regrets, all my acclaims
The joy and the pain, I’m making them yours

(Chorus)
Lord, I offer my life to you
Everything I’ve been through
Use it for your glory
Lord I offer my days to you
Lifting my praise to you
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer you my life

(Verse 2)
Things in the past, things yet unseen
Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
All of my heart, alll of my praise
My heart and my hands are lifted to you

(Chorus)
Lord, I offer my life to you
Everything I’ve been through
Use it for your glory
Lord I offer my days to you
Lifting my praise to you
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer you my life

(Bridge)
What can we give
That you have not given?
And what do we have
That is not already yours?
All we possess
Are these lives we’re living
That’s what we give to you, Lord

(Chorus)
Lord, I offer my life to you
Everything I’ve been through
Use it for your glory
Lord I offer my days to you
Lifting my praise to you
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer you my life

(Chorus)
Lord, I offer my life to you
Everything I’ve been through
Use it for your glory
Lord I offer my days to you
Lifting my praise to you
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer you my life
Lord I offer you my life

Mother’s Day

Header Flower

Once a year, we are reminded on the roles our mothers played in our lives on this very special day dedicated to Moms around the world. I was chatting with a friend the other day and we reflecting and sharing what values that our moms inculcate in us since young.

Thinking back…i’ve seen many examples of how strong my mom is despites the odds against her. She is one person that never gives up…bite the bullet and make things work somehow. We never had to worry about the basic necessities while growing up. But having said that, we were also taught the value of being thrift and living within our means. Well…i have to say that although is being taught…i never learned it well enough :)

But one thing for sure…looking back at how my mom manages her money…i must salute her for it. My dad was the sole bread winner in the family and my mom took up extra job at home being a nanny just to provide the extras for us (how blessed).

Mothers of world…I salute you for playing an important role in your kid’s life.

I know my mom doesn’t read this blog….but anyhow I would just like to say “Mom…thank you for everything you have given me in my life. I wouldn’t have been here if it is not for your unfailing sacrificial love, Thank you mom…I Love you”.

HAVE A BLESSED MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL THE MOMS OUT THERE! GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY!

Identity Theft…

Be really careful of identity theft! A friend brought up a good point 2 days ago while we were taking about Facebook popularity. He said, ” what makes you think that the picture you see on facebook and the person you know is the same person that created the profile with the same picture and name?”  He brought up a valid point and keeps me thinking.

Many of us would have taken it for granted that what we see is what we get…unfortunately that is not the case. According to this friend, let’s call him Skeptic. He has a friend whom were shocked to find that he has more then one profile on facebook which was not created by him. And in this profile that he did not create, he could see some of his friends in there and some of whom are his close friends. Imagine this fake profile owner starts gathering identity and information about him from his close friends. This sounds kinda spooky…think about it. Identity theft is not something that should be taken lightly.

So….are you revealing yourself too much on the net? What is your exposure?

One great movie that I watched- TAKEN

liam-neeson-taken-poster

Former government operative Bryan Mills begins the longest 96-hours of his life–and the hunt for the fearsome organization that has taken his daughter Kim. Mills had only recently given up his government career as what he calls a “preventer” to be near Kim, who lives with Bryan’s ex-wife Lenore and her new husband. To make ends meet, Bryan joins some former colleagues for special security details (like guarding a pop diva), but most of his time and energy are spent re-connecting with Kim. Bryan’s familial goal is nearly derailed when Kim requests his permission to spend time in Paris with a friend. All too aware of the dangers that could lie ahead for Kim in a foreign land, Bryan says no, but Kim’s disappointment leads him to very reluctantly relent. Bryan’s worst fears are realized when Kim and her friend Amanda are suddenly abducted–in broad daylight–from the Paris apartment at which they’ve just arrived. Moments before Kim is dragged away by the as yet unseen and unknown assailants, she manages to phone Bryan, who begins to expertly piece together clues that will take him to the darkness of Paris’s underworld, and to the City of Light’s plushest mansions. He will face nightmares worse than anything he experienced in black ops–and let nothing and no one stop him from saving his daughter.
